York Regional Council:

Wish you a happy and safe Victoria Day long weekend!
In celebration of Victoria Day, City of Markham residents do not require a permit to set off fireworks on their private property on the day before Victoria Day and Victoria Day

Fireworks are not allowed on City property. This includes parks, fields and roads.

Please visit http://markham.ca/fireworks for more guidelines and safety tips.
As you may know, recent earthquakes have struck Türkiye and Syria, leaving many families without homes and basic necessities. In response to this crisis, Markham Mayor and I are organizing a fundraiser event to raise money for earthquake relief efforts in these countries.

All proceeds will go towards providing aid and support to those affected by the earthquakes. We believe that every contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant impact in the lives of those who are struggling in the aftermath of this disaster.

Thank you for your support and generosity.
