We feel fortunate to have the support of our fire service team, local supermarkets, and residents who have contributed by donating and delivering food items to support the Markham Food Bank.

 

Once again, thank you for your charitable contribution.

Due to the increasing break-and-enter incidents, car thefts, and carjacking cases recently, Regional Councillor Alan Ho requested the York Regional Police to install cameras at major intersections to monitor and record the passing of cars for further investigations should there be crime take place at the York Regional meeting held on December 7.

 

The York Regional Police Chief has agreed to initiate a pilot program and will discuss with the Privacy Commissioner to address the privacy issue.

Join us on December 20, 2023, at 7 PM for a crime prevention meeting hosted by Regional Councillor Alan Ho and Ward 2 Councillor Ritch Lau, with the support of York Regional Police Brian Hinds.
 
We will share crime prevention tips, discuss crime reporting, provide an update on the police camera pilot program and a Q&A session involving councillors, officers, and residents.

Southbound lanes on Allstate Pkwy. from Centurain Drive to Cul-de-Sec will be closed as of Dec 15, 3 PM and will reopen Dec 16 at 2 AM.

Northbound lanes will not be affected.

 

Officers will be on-site to maintain the flow of traffic.

York Region has completed a municipal class Environmental Assessment Study for improvements to Kennedy Road from Major Mackenzie Drive to Elgin Mills Road in the City of Markham.
