In a winter event, help prevent street flooding. Keep stormwater drains clear of snow and ice.

Winter Weather Update - Snow clearing starts with the largest & busiest roads (called arterial or primary roads), followed by secondary roads that serve schools, community centres, industrial & commercial areas, and then local roads & lanes.

On National Flag of Canada Day, we reflect on the Canadian flag and what it means. The flag reaffirms common values that unite all Canadians together – that of openness, generosity, peace and freedom.

Until April 15, please don’t park on the street when snow clearing operations are in effect. Plows need room to get by and can’t properly clear roads if cars are in the way, which may also result in them being plowed in.

Heavy snowfall and gusty winds can make curbside collection difficult and dangerous. Make sure containers are accessible and kept back from the roadway to help with snow clearing efforts.
