May 14, 2024 marks the Provincial Day of Action on litter. This day aims to raise awareness of the impact waste has on our environment and to motivate us to positively impact our environment by keeping litter out of our local communities.
In recognition of this day, we want to thank our community groups, students and staff who took the time to clean up litter in their communities.

New Traffic Management Measures – Markham Civic Centre, Flato Markham Theatre and Unionville High School Parking Lot Access. From May 15 to 30, 2024 between the hours of 8 to 9 AM and 2:30 to 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday only), we ask that all high school-related traffic enter the parking lot from Wallis Way.
All other visitors to the Markham Civic Centre and Flato Markham Theatre are recommended to enter the parking lot from Cox Blvd and Town Centre Blvd during these times. Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we aid traffic flow and continue to prioritize everyone’s safety.
