On December 17, from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM, I will hold a second food drive event before the holiday with Markham Fire & Emergency Service and Sunny Foodmart to donate and deliver food items to Markham Food Bank.
 
Please bring nonperishable, unopened food items to the entrance at Sunny Foodmart (14th Ave & Markham Rd, 7700 Markham Rd). You will find a box where you can deposit the items.
 
Thanks again for your generosity. I'm sure that the people who receive your donations will be highly grateful.

Please don’t park on the street. Our plows need room to get by and can’t properly clear roads if cars are in the way.
 
Parked vehicles on roads may result in them being plowed in.

Environment Canada has issued a Weather Advisory with snowfall and gusty winds expected to begin late Thursday afternoon, tapering to flurries Friday morning. Up to 15 cm of snow could be expected and winds up to 70 km/hr.

 

Our Operations team is continuing to monitor conditions, and is prepared and ready to respond. Track our plows using the Winter Maintenance app on markham.ca/winter

Environment Canada has issued a weather statement forecasting 10-15cms of snow on Thurs, Dec 15. York Region crews are prepared to tackle snow & ice on Regional roads. Please drive safely, leave space around plows, or consider taking YRT & VIVA. More info:bit.ly/3j1Mcas
