Crime Prevention Session - #5 District: Markham, Stouffville

York Regional Police wants to enlist your help in the fight against crime. 

 

Join members of York Regional Police #5 District command and officers from the Community Services Bureau at this crime prevention session for residents living in Markham and Stouffville. Together, we will learn important steps we can take to identify and prevent frauds and scams affecting seniors.

 

Attendees will learn about grandparent scams, where fraudsters pose as family members in crisis who need money for an emergency, and other frauds targeting seniors.

A panel discussion will be held with Seniors Safety Officers, Crime Prevention Officers and a fraud investigator.
