York Regional Council:

Dear friends,

As you may know, recent earthquakes have struck Türkiye and Syria, leaving many families without homes and basic necessities. In response to this crisis, Markham Mayor and I are organizing a fundraiser event to raise money for earthquake relief efforts in these countries.

All proceeds will go towards providing aid and support to those affected by the earthquakes. We believe that every contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant impact in the lives of those who are struggling in the aftermath of this disaster.

We are reaching out to you today to ask for your support in this fundraising effort. Your donation will not only help provide immediate relief to those in need, but it will also help support long-term rebuilding efforts and help communities recover from the damage caused by the earthquakes.

Your donation will be used to provide food, shelter, medical aid, and other necessary supplies to those affected by the earthquakes. We believe that by coming together as a community, we can make a difference and help those in need during this challenging time.

Thank you for your support and generosity.

Sincerely,

Event Chair
Regional Councillor Alan Ho

Honorary Chair
Mayor Frank Scarpitti
