York Regional Council Highlights (June 2023)
The next meeting of the Regional Council is Sept. 28, 2023, at 9 AM.

Join us for a delightful community picnic at Simonston Park on July 16th from 4 PM to 8 PM.

 

It's the perfect occasion to enjoy the summer with free food and shows in the park's beautiful surroundings. Fun Games and Lucky Draw are also available!

Welcome Hong Kong TVB's actor Gloria Tang to celebrate Canada Day 2023 with our community.
Many thanks to the Foundation To Commemorate The Chinese Railway Workers In Canada for providing the young generations with the dark chapter in Canadian history in which a racist law, the Chinese Exclusion Act, on the occasion of its 100th anniversary.
Glad to attend Fairchild Radio Community Basketball Event at Aaniin Community Centre.
 
It was a fun-filled event with activities and entertainment, and sports.
Speeding is an ongoing issue I have been working hard to tackle, and I continue to partner with York Regional Police (YRP) to deter this behaviour.

1. York Region is improving Highway 7 in Markham and Richmond Hill
from May until early September 2023. Road work on weeknights, Monday to Friday, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and lane restrictions are required.

 

2. Kennedy Road from 16th Avenue to Major Mackenzie Drive beginning late May 2023 until November 2023;  Road work will occur on weekdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and lane restrictions are required.

 

3. Kennedy Road from Steeles Avenue to Highway 407 beginning late May 2023 until November 2023. Majority of road work will occur on weeknights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. with some work occurring on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and lane restrictions are required.
